In outdoor spaces, it is first of all necessary to select the correct luminaires, i.e. those that have a degree of protection suitable for being exposed to atmospheric agents and with a power that is not too high to prevent light pollution.

If it is a question of illuminating a terrace or a porch, for example, you can make use of waterproof appliques for general lighting and you can use lamps with hooks that can be positioned with extreme flexibility. In the presence of a table, to illuminate the area during a convivial moment such as a summer dinner, lamps with rechargeable batteries or floor lamps can be used. Even the planters are able to become real luminous elements thanks to the use of spotlights with pickets that hide in the vegetation and use the latter to spread the light in a scenographic and always different way.

If, on the other hand, it is a question of illuminating a garden, light poles or path markers are used to illuminate its paths to give light to the passage areas in a uniform manner. Larger green areas, however, can be enhanced with recessed spotlights in the floor in correspondence with shrubs or bushes, positioned to create accents and give depth to the space. There is also the possibility of using bright elements, such as seats, to further decorate the external environment and create small bright lounges. Also in this case the lighting can follow a more decorative or more functional criterion, or it can be a mix of the two which aims to integrate the aesthetic side with the practical one.
